I’d like to know which time period they’re trying to get me to identify with, though.
These are all from different time periods. You Can’t Do That On Television was waaay before The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air, and both were before the Macarena. And I know that “predicting your future was around back then, too (though I know it carried forward).
I had a Gigapet. Got it from KFC because they were “too expensive” to buy at Toys R’ Us; shit was like $30, but KFC gave them to you as part of a kids meal. Mine was Bitty Kitty. I had a Tamagotchi too. If either ever resurfaces, I’ll replace the batteries and carry that bitch everywhere.
all of this, except i was too much of a scaredy-cat when i was little to watch Are You Afraid of the Dark?, so…. yeah.
also, the picture might be from You Can’t Do That on Television, but Nickelodeon continued the tradition of sliming people through shows like What Would You Do? (1991-1993), Figure It Out (1997-1999), and Slime Time Live (2000-2003). i watch too much TV. muh bayuhd.
also, i had the 102 Dalmatians giga pet. kept sneaking it to school. my grandma called it a ginka-pink.
